Do I really need another type of insurance? I already have household contents insurance.

Normal household insurance policies always stipulate a deductible of at least 200 francs. Since the costs of replacement cards normally come to somewhere between 150 and 200 francs, you will only get a refund with Securicard. In addition to which you will save yourself trouble, hassle and further costs because all it takes a single call to block all your cards.

Is my data safe with you?

Yes! Securicard has been working closely with all Swiss card issuers for over 10 years; our data protection management meets the most stringent requirements. Securicard has been registered since 1994 with the Swiss Federal Data Protection Officer.

Does the service operate on a 24/7 basis and does it work from abroad?

Yes! Customer services and the 24 hour hotline are always there for you around the clock, 365 days a year. The telephone numbers also work from abroad if you add the dialing code 0041 and leave out the zero in front of the 8.

Why is the head office in Lausanne but the mailing address in Zurich?

Over 60% of our customers live in the German-speaking region of Switzerland which is why the mailing address is in Zurich. From there, mail is delivered to us within one working day.

What happens in the time between my phone call and the blocking of the card; do you assume the costs of any misuse?

Yes! That is part of our service (please also see our General Conditions of Business). Securicard is liable for the period of time between your phone call and the transmission of instructions to block the card. It is for this very purpose that a so-called “ blocking report” is drawn up.

I did not have my cards blocked via Securicard although I am a customer; am I still entitled to a refund for my costs?

Not really! But please get in touch with us by telephone and we will maybe still be able to find a solution.

What does Securicard offer?
